A band that started in Welwyn Garden City is playing the main stages at Reading and Leeds Festivals this weekend...
Indie Rock Band 'The Subways' formed in 2000 and released their debut album "Young For Eternity" in 2005.
Guitarist and singer Billy Lunn, who lives in Ware, told JACK fm this weekend will be a trip down memory lane: "I used to go to Reading Festival a lot when the band was starting up, when we were finding our influences from local artists, and that's why it's special for us because we look out from the stage and go: 'Wow, I ate at that noodle bar 10 years ago!'"
The band member will make a solo appearance on the stage on the King George V playing fields on Stevenage Day this Sunday.
