Beacons have been lit across Hertfordshire to celebrate The Queen's Diamond Jubilee...
Flames shone out at thousands of locations in the UK, including Fairlands Valley Park in Stevenage, Campus West in Welwyn Garden City, Hatfield House, Hertford Castle and Broxbourne.
All beacons were lit between 10 o'clock and 10.30pm, with The Queen lighting the final one from the concert stage outside Buckingham Palace where Stevie Wonder, JLS, Sir Elton John were among the stars performing.
Stevenage: The beacon was lit by the Sailing Lake at Fairlands Valley Park, after a spectacular fireworks display over the boating lake.

Hertford: Hertford Castle was swathed in red, white and blue for the lighting of a commemorative Jubilee Beacon by Lord Charles Cecil. The Mayor of Hertford planted a tree to commemorate the occasion.
Welwyn Hatfield: A fire beacon
was lit on the Campus West balcony (below).

Hatfield House: A beacon was
lit after a day of music with local artists will be performing,
including Fallow Fields, Franklin Street New Orleans Jazz Band and Nick
Stephenson.
Broxbourne: Six beacons were lit across Broxbourne at locations including Barclay
Park, Cheshunt Park, Goffs Oak Playing Fields and Pound Close Recreation
Ground in Hoddesdon. Beacons were also lit at Baas Hill Common and Waltham Cross Playing Fields.
