Man Left With Serious Facial Injuries After "Unprovoked Attack"

A man has been left with serious facial injuries after an unprovoked attack in Harpenden...

The 31 year-old victim was walking along St Albans road in the early hours of Sunday morning, when he was assaulted.

Two men from Harpenden, who are aged 18 and 23 years-old, have been arrested in connection with the investigation and are currently on police bail.

Detective Constable Sonja Townsend is investigating and said: "This was an unprovoked assault which has left the victim with quite serious injuries to his face. I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time and saw what happened to contact police with information.

I would also like to hear from anyone who has any knowledge about the incident which would be of assistance to the investigation."
